Motivated Monday

One week down...who knows how many to go- haha! It was a pretty darn tootin good week! Yes I said darn tootin, I'm on a mission to bring back more wholesome (& mildly entertaining) language to today's potty-mouthed world! Anyway, I really like this livestrong plan and having it on my iPhone is priceless (or only $2.99:), it makes it so easy! I worked out four days, stayed on calorie target for 6 and am pretty happy with how I feel. I went over my goal amount by about 425 cals on Saturday night but it'd been a rough day and there was some ice cream in my freezer that had to be eaten because it was going to get freezer burned ;-). The really cool thing about that is I didn't freak out, I didn't think "well now you've blown it, might as well have every other food you're dreaming of. Shame on you! Shame on you!!" (my internal me is a bit melodramatic at times). I didn't even feel a little guilty! My thought was this, "I've still only had 2000 cals for the day, that's no more than what an average person needs to maintain their weight, no biggie". I didn't even have to do the "pick yourself back up and try again tomorrow" because I realized I didn't fall off the wagon! I even got a complement from my dad, "you look like your slimming right back down again" (not that he thought I was fat, sometimes the way my dad compliments doesn't sound so complimentary but it's not on purpose and I know what he meant :). I doubt he really could actually tell the actual weight loss I've experienced (I'll get to that in a minute) because it wasn't a lot. I suspect he did notice I looked smaller though because for many weeks I have been crazy bloated due to sneaky corn & soy in things I was unaware of. Eating stuff I'm allergic to makes me look a solid 10 pounds heavier, another reason it's easy to stay away (ok not easy, but easier).

Sooooooooooo....druuummmmrooolllll.... my weight loss for this week was... 2 pounds!
I'm pretty happy with that, it's not my highest first week loss (kinda sad there are multiple first weeks lol) but my goal is 15 pounds and I know the closer I get to it the harder I will have to work! Here's to week 2!
